Spring Classes

Ballet Recital May 17, 2016

Thank you all for letting me dance with your little ones this year! I have seen great improvement and also just enjoyed getting to know your daughters! 

Our ballet recital will be May 17 at 5pm at the Fairyland Elementary School gym. The big girls (3pm class and 3:50 class) need to be there at 4pm to rehearse the recital once through on the stage. The younger class (4:40 class on Mondays) needs to be there at 4:30pm. Please invite your families, friends and neighbors to join us at 5pm to enjoy a short rendition of Sleeping Beauty, the Ballet. 

Girls can wear their leotard and tights and any ballet or dress-up skirt they would like. Please have hair pulled back. The 3pm Monday class will make a flower crown to wear during the recital during class on May 16. The 3:50 class will use a long ribbon streamer during their dance. The 4:40 class will wear fairy wings (brought from home, bought at the dollar store, or borrowed) and make a magic wand in class on May 16 to use for their dance. 

We also like to have a small reception to honor the girls for all their hard work this semester. Please feel free to bring a savory or sweet snack or some drinks. Drinks in boxes or small bottles are preferred. I’m not including a sign-up list, but if everyone will pitch in, I know we will have plenty! I will bring table cloths.

Camps include ballet moves, recital pieces, ballet books, crafts, snack and ballet games
Cost $100 per week
Students may come to one, two or all three camps.

Spring 2012 Ballet

Ballet Spring Semester 

The Spring Semester of ballet will begin April 9 and run every Monday until May 21. 

There will be a 3-3:45pm class and a 3:45-4:30pm class. 

The recital for both classes will be on May 22 at 3:45pm. 

Monday Dates: April 9, 16, 23, 30; May 7, 14, 21.

Costs

Spring Semester--$100 (siblings $85)

Just as a reminder--There are no "hidden costs" in Miss Olivia's Ballet. We use simple embellishments for our leotards for the recital so that we don't have to order expensive costumes. All that is needed for the class is a leotard, tights and ballet shoes. Many stores now carry these items, but I always suggest the Batterie on Broad (near KFC) as a great place to find quality brands for all three.
