Ballet Recital May 17, 2016

Thank you all for letting me dance with your little ones this year! I have seen great improvement and also just enjoyed getting to know your daughters! 

Our ballet recital will be May 17 at 5pm at the Fairyland Elementary School gym. The big girls (3pm class and 3:50 class) need to be there at 4pm to rehearse the recital once through on the stage. The younger class (4:40 class on Mondays) needs to be there at 4:30pm. Please invite your families, friends and neighbors to join us at 5pm to enjoy a short rendition of Sleeping Beauty, the Ballet. 

Girls can wear their leotard and tights and any ballet or dress-up skirt they would like. Please have hair pulled back. The 3pm Monday class will make a flower crown to wear during the recital during class on May 16. The 3:50 class will use a long ribbon streamer during their dance. The 4:40 class will wear fairy wings (brought from home, bought at the dollar store, or borrowed) and make a magic wand in class on May 16 to use for their dance. 

We also like to have a small reception to honor the girls for all their hard work this semester. Please feel free to bring a savory or sweet snack or some drinks. Drinks in boxes or small bottles are preferred. I’m not including a sign-up list, but if everyone will pitch in, I know we will have plenty! I will bring table cloths.

Winter Clinics

Ballet Winter and Spring 2016

We will have three ballet clinics, January 30, February 13, and February 27. Each of those will be from 9:30-12 and include a dance lesson, a craft, a snack and a short recital.

Cost for the clinics will be $35 each per student or all 3 for $100 per student/$85 siblings. There's a possibility one of the clinics will include an extra 30 minutes of gymnastics from Lookout Mountain's own gymnastics teacher, Miss Maggie! If this happens, the cost will be slightly more for that clinic.

The spring semester will begin on Monday March 14 and end Monday May 16 with a recital on Tuesday, May 17 at 5:30. Monday classes will be at 3:00 (any age), 3:50 (any age) and 4:40 (2s and 3s). Cost for the semester is $100 per student/$85 for siblings. The 4:40 class is 25 minutes and is only $50 per student.

All classes will meet at the Lookout Mountain Elementary School skating rink. Recital location TBD.
